Humans are an intrinsic part of nature - a fact many people struggle to understand but now, the 2024 Living Planet Report has sent a stark message to us all.

A staggering 73% loss of wildlife populations has occurred in just 50 years. Governments around the globe must stop and listen.

The report is a bleak reminder that biodiversity sustains human life and underpins society. If we do not act what will planet Earth and our lives be like as biodiversity wanes?

Degradation of habitat, and loss is the biggest threat. Food systems have impacted precious habitats but invasive species, disease, and overexploitation must be considered culpable.
